Zoe Laughlin

From a young age, Zoe loved making things and she has forged a career around this passion. On the one hand, she’s an artist and holds an MA from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design – she has staged a number of large events with galleries like theTate Modern. On the other hand, she is an engineer and holds a PhD in Materials from the Department of Engineering at King's College London and she has gone on to be the co-founder and Director of the Institute of Making at University College London (UCL).

Beyond her regular material segments on ITV’s This Morning, celebrating all aspects of materials and making, Zoe presented the acclaimed BBC documentary The Secret Science of Sewage!

You get an insight into the way Zoe's mind works from her Q&A on theThis Morning website. If I wasn’t featuring on This Morning, I’d be: "Back at the day job coming up with plans for the world's greatest crazy golf course."My favourite breakfast is: "Avocado and marmite on granary toast. Don't knock it 'till you've tried it."
